Dear President Duterte,

Wishing a good day ahead sir.

I am writing this letter to express my thoughts and opinions about relevant issues and concerns that our country and our people is facing. I am GioYvan, a junior high school student from Ilocos province.

From the time you were seated as President of the Philippines, many have happened so far in terms of the economy, infrastructure, political aspects and most especially the health care system which is continuously degrading as the pandemic continues to hit every corner of the archipelago.

As years passed, we have seen how you have handled the situations that our country has faced and are still facing. You had decisions that were good although some were not. Some of your promises seems to be failing and our expectations that you will lead our country to be a better place for us Filipinos is a little bit blurry.

People in the community including my family is struggling to cope with the effects of the pandemic. With this, we were hopeful that you would be on top of everything but as the situation continue to escalate, our hearts break. We expect the best from you. People surrounding you may be the reason for the failures in your decisions and it greatly affected us too much.

Your people are hurting and the entire nation too but we will still keep on believing, hoping and continue to trust and respect you because you are the highest leader of this country. That during this difficult time, you will continue to lead us and be true to the promises you have spoken. We will pray for you that you will have the wisdom as you make the best decisions with righteousness and justice.

Respectfully,

GioYvan Dela Cruz
