Battle against COVID: Testing Government Resiliency

We are all suffering by the pandemic right now, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon the world with challenges. Almost all countries had to shut down their economies to halt the spread of the virus and the Philippines is one of those countries who have taken strict measures by implementing the Enhanced Community Quarantine in higher risks areas.

Resilience of our country is a must, because it encompasses the need to mitigate those risks we know about, but also to be able to respond to and recover from those that we can’t predict or avoid like the COVID-19 virus. With the pandemic continuously increasing the potential for tipping points, alongside increasing systemic complexity and vulnerabilities, we are learning that the past is no longer a good predictor of the future.

It is truly our responsibility to make a change for our home country in order to be more resilient especially at this times. In addition, the challenges of leadership during a time of deep uncertainty have been captured through our work on resilient leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic.
