It’s been over a year or two since the pandemic started. A lot of students had to adjust to a new mode of learning which brought about changes in their lives. As I continue to adopt the learning style amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I am getting very used to it and I am able to cope challenges easier than before. However, it is still tough to make changes as I go through this online class sensation.
The previous semesters was proved to be tough. Students were falling behind in many aspects including academic, social relations, and mental health and it’s a massive success to everyone who managed to trudge through the excruciating months of the semester. It’s been hard for us students to shift to online learning. Even though I’ve somehow improved to this new normal, there are still a lot of pros and cons. There are the same challenges I am facing especially, technological issues, slow or poor internet connectivity. Assessment is vital to any type of learning either face to face or online class. However, online learning makes it more complicated as teachers have limited control over us students’. For me it is easier to understand a given topic if the teacher is personally guiding the students. There’s a lot going on with this pandemic and I just can’t help but to be emotional and think about everything, this made me to procrastinate over my modules and ended up not finishing them on time.
As the last semester of the school year approaches,
I will continue to improve, have the strength and willingness to learn despite
the challenges I am and will be facing. Let not the pandemic be the reason to
cease education but rather becomes a great motivation. Lastly, I am grateful
and thankful to our teachers for their tremendous efforts in making it possible
to conduct virtual class sessions. With this, education continues at the
comfort and safety of each one’s homes, and hopefully, the face-to-face class
sensation will be conducted as we students move up.
